Teenager like you also needs to be perfectly beautiful inside and out. At your age, you're starting to be conscious and curious about yourself, experimenting fashion with your best pals and making yourself pretty in front of your bedroom mirror while trying some touch ups on your face. Well then, carry with you this beauty tips before facing the outside world.
Face/Foundation
-
The first step in any beauty regimen is moisturizing. Starting to moisturize during your teen years will keep your skin smooth and healthy. Properly moisturized skin also creates the perfect canvas for makeup.
After moisturizing, cover small blemishes with concealer. Finish with loose powder and apply foundation. Match the shade of foundation as closely as you can to your skin tone. Blend foundation well, especially around the neckline.
Follow up with highlighter under the eyes and around the nose. This will eliminate dark areas and brighten your face.
Finally, apply blush. Using a brush, tap off excess blush and then apply in a circular motion to the apples of your cheeks.
Eyes/Lips
-
Apply mascara to your eyelashes. Dark brown or black mascara is flattering on almost all skin tones. If you want to wear eyeliner, choose a dark neutral, such as brown, and line the upper lids along the lash line and only the outer edge of the bottom lids.
Next, apply eyeshadow on the upper eyelids. Neutral shades such as brown, tan, plum and peach work well on almost everyone. Use white eyeliner on the lower lids to help tired eyes look more awake.
When applying lip color, start with a lip liner in a matching shade. Line the lips and then fill in with liner. This will help the lipstick last longer and stay in the lip lines. Choose a lipstick shade that is at least as dark as your natural lip color, and add a small dot of gloss to the center of your lower lip to create fullness. -
What Not To Do
-
Don't be too heavy on the blush. Dark streaks of blush from the apples of the cheeks all the way to the temples look garish and unnatural.
Don't leave clumps of mascara on your eyelashes. Instead, make sure to use an eyelash comb to remove clumps and to separate lashes.
Finally, if you are wearing heavy eye makeup, keep your lips light. If your lipstick is dark, keep the eyes a little lighter. This will keep your makeup looking natural.
